Photos and news from the Telstra Business Awards
Being a finalist in the 2016 Telstra Business Awards has been an incredible journey for Rando and Associates and although we didn’t take home the award in the Micro Business category, the team and I send our congratulations to Health Safety Works and to the overall WA winner, PeopleSense.

The team, suited up!

Funnily enough, it turns out I know the team from Health Safety Works; having taught the Managing Director, Jeremy Nunn, many years ago when he was a student at Leschenault Catholic Primary School!

Rando and Associates has been well recognised within the financial services industry but to be finalists in the Telstra Business Awards, reaffirmed for Julie and I that the Company is on the right track as a business overall, not just a financial services business.
As many of you know Rando and Associates started in 2005 because I wanted to share the information and expertise I had gained in financial services to help

Micro Business Award Winner,
Jeremy Nunn

people like Julie and I to live their lives better.

It was a small loan from my parents to buy a laptop and a mobile phone in 2005 that gave me the opportunity to take the leap of faith I had longed for- so it was fitting that Mum and Dad (Gwen and Fiore) joined us on the night. (Although by the end of it, they were well and truly sick of my selfie stick…)
Mum, Dad and the Selfie Stick
Starting your own business, sticking to it, making the bold decisions, it takes courage. And some days, that courage and confidence can be really low. Reflecting on the Awards experience I have found that it has reminded of that initial faith and vision and it’s given me a boost to keep being bold in the coming years.
For other business owners who have considered the Telstra Business Awards, I would be more than happy to share my tips and the Rando and Associate’s experience with you.
In addition, I will be speaking about the road to the Awards with the Bunbury business community; through the Bunbury Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the near future- I will keep you updated about this as I have more details.
Congratulations again to Health Safety Works and PeopleSense and I’ll catch you all next month.
